Scabiosa atropurpurea 'qis Dark Blue'
Dark blue scabiosa that produces many flowers and looks perfect in the border. Also suitable as a picking flower, keeps well in a vase. Bees, bumblebees and butterflies love it.
Sowing instructions
Scabiosa or doveweed is a light germinator. So you don't cover the seeds with a layer of soil. Place the seeds, which are like little badminton tufts, on the ground, press lightly and water. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. Pre-sow in pots or seed trays, or sow directly in the garden. Scabiosa germinates after an average of 7 to 10 days under the right conditions.
