What we think is important
Because we believe very strongly that a garden - and by extension nature - benefits your mental well-being and getting away from a screen helps reduce stress, we want to encourage and inspire you to get outside. Sitting with your hands in the soil, getting busy with plants and eventually picking flowers or eating vegetables from your own garden: as far as we are concerned, there is no better way to reconnect with nature. There is so much joy and satisfaction in self-sowing and tending plants that we feel it is important to share our passion with the general public. We can't improve the world on our own, but together we can make it a more beautiful place. And often that more beautiful world starts at the back door. Furthermore, knowledge transfer is the essence of our business. We know very well that starting with gardening leaves a lot of impressions. There is jargon and contradictory things you read online are often very confusing. Angelo, who has been in the green business for 20 years, makes it his life's work to inspire and inform people to get started in the garden themselves. No nonsense, making gardening truly accessible to everyone. With us, we go beyond selling products. We want to help you, guide you and provide what you need. Will you join us?
Our mission
Our mission is very clear. With our seeds, garden tools, bulbs and books, we want to contribute to a garden that grows, blooms and fruits. For yourself, but also for the environment. Pollinators need flowers to survive, and we in turn need the pollinators to provide us with food. Life in and around the garden really does improve with diversity. Plant flowers, trees, shrubs and bulbs and notice how animals consider your spot their home.
BIO Label
Because as a green company we want to contribute to a better environment for everything that lives, we think it is important to make the right choices. That's why we received our organic certification in the summer of 2024.
A large part of our collection is therefore now allowed to carry the organic label and is therefore subject to strict controls every year. You can recognize the organic products by their label in the webshop, and by the European organic label in the form of a leaf. Our other seeds are uncoated and non-toxic and are grown in a sustainable manner.
What about our sustainable choices?
Making a business sustainable is often in small, not insignificant, choices you make. For example, our seed bags are made of paper with tomato fiber. This is a waste product from agriculture that we reuse for packaging our seeds. Circular entrepreneurship is something we value highly. In addition, we package all orders without the use of plastic. We consciously choose to drastically reduce, or eliminate where possible, our plastic use. Only our pots and vases, which are very fragile, are extra packed, to prevent damage during shipping. We purposefully look for solutions to avoid the use of single-use plastic there as well.
