From this poppy, you enjoy the pretty, white flowers, but actually wait for the beautiful seed pods that come after flowering. Great for drying. Stay good for months.
Sowing instructions
Papaws are enthusiastic light germinators. That means they need sunlight to germinate and so should not be covered with a layer of soil. That makes the difference between good and bad germination. You can sow directly in the garden, but you can also pre-sow in seed trays. Poppy does not like to be transplanted, but in seed trays you do not disturb the young roots. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. Poppies need some time to germinate. If conditions are favourable, they germinate after 2-3 weeks.
