This annual pigeonweed is popular, and quite rightly so. The creamy yellow flowers have a light pink blush and combine very well with other flowers. Beautiful!
Sowing instructions
Scabiosa or dovewort is a light germinator. So you don't cover the seeds with a layer of soil. Place the seeds, which are like little badminton tufts, on the ground, press lightly and water. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. Pre-sow in pots or seed trays, or sow directly in the garden. Scabiosa germinates after an average of 7 to 10 days under the right conditions.
