Dahlias
Good for pollinators
Pollinators such as bees and bumblebees have no use for closed dahlias. But they love the open types, also called single flowers. They can extract pollen and nectar from them: that results in flying back and forth all summer long. Even butterflies use their long tongues to get food from the flowers.
