Hollyhock with double pink flowers. Very popular in English cottage gardens. Biennial plant: sow in summer, flowers the following year.

    Sowing Instructions
Biennial hollyhock you sow during the summer months, to plant out in the garden in the fall. The flowers will then appear the following year. Hollyhock is a light germinator. So it's best not to cover the seeds with a layer of soil. Instead, lay the seeds shallowly, pressing lightly so there is contact with the soil and making sure the soil stays moist - not wet. Give the seeds some time, they take an average of 2 to 3 weeks to germinate.
