Centaurea cyanus 'Classic Romantic'

A nice mix of cornflowers in shades of white, pink and light red. Does great as a pick flower in the garden, but is also often visited by bees and bumblebees.

Cornflower is a light germinator. So it's best not to cover the seeds with a layer of soil. Sow shallowly, pressing lightly and keeping the soil moist, but not wet. You can pre-sow them or sow them directly in the garden. Cornflower does not need to be indoors to germinate. On the contrary. Often it is too warm in there, or there is not enough light making it difficult for the seeds to germinate.
