One of many favourites of mine. Beautiful salmon colour, double flowers and a must-have in any garden. Eye-catcher for the border.
Sowing instructions
Biennial hollyhock should be sown during the summer months, to be planted out in the garden in autumn. The flowers then appear the following year. Hollyhock is a light germinator. So you better not cover the seeds with a layer of soil. Instead, lay the seeds shallowly, pressing lightly so that there is contact with the substrate and making sure the soil stays moist - not wet. Give the seeds some time, they take an average of 2-3 weeks to germinate.
