Romaine lettuce 'Forellenschluss'

This old variety comes from Tyrol, Austria. It is characterized by the brown speckles that you see on the leaves. The name refers to a trout, which also has such speckles. Tasty lettuce.

Sowing instructions
Lettuce has very small seeds and is therefore a light germinator. So you sow the seeds superficially, without covering them with a layer of soil. Press lightly so that there is contact with the substrate and keep moist, but not wet. Lettuce germinates quickly, after just a few days.
