Bell pepper 'Oda'

This is probably my favorite sweet pepper. When unripe the fruits are purple, when ripe they turn red with a dark underside. Very productive and quite easy to grow outside if you can give them the sunniest spot.

Peppers and bell peppers are sensitive to the cold. They like to have warm feet. Place them near a heating element, heat mat or underfloor heating, if applicable. In theory, they are light germinators that can get a thin layer of seed compost over them (soil also lets some light through). Keep the soil moist, but not wet and possibly use a greenhouse or hood to put over the seeds. Then it stays warm and moist inside, which will promote germination.
