Hollyhock with double pink flowers. Very popular in English cottage gardens. Biennial plant: sow in summer, flowers the following year.
Sowing instructions
Sow biennial hollyhock during the summer months, to plant out in the garden in autumn. The flowers then appear the following year. Hollyhock is a light germinator. So you better not cover the seeds with a layer of soil. Instead, lay the seeds shallowly, pressing lightly so that there is contact with the substrate and making sure the soil stays moist - not wet. Give the seeds some time, they take an average of 2-3 weeks to germinate.
