Tomato 'Amish Paste'
Special roma type tomato. Ancient and known to the Amish in America since 1800. Ideal for soup and sauces. The fruits ripen from mid-early to late. Can be grown outside or in a greenhouse. Needs to be pruned.
Sowing Instructions
Tomatoes are light germinators that, unlike many others, can be covered with a thin layer of soil. Soil also lets a little light through. Start sowing from March, not earlier. Do this in seed trays, pots or sowing trays. Keep moist, but not wet. Tomatoes germinate quickly at 18 to 20 °C, usually after 5 to 7 days.
