This poppy produces very large, double flowers in a stunning burgundy color. Keep them in good condition by moderately submerging the stems in hot water before placing them in a vase.
Sowing instructions
Poppies are enthusiastic light germinators. This means they need sunlight to germinate and should not be covered with a layer of soil. This makes the difference between good and poor germination. You can sow directly in the open ground, but you can also pre-sow in seed trays. Poppies do not like to be transplanted, but in seed trays, you do not disturb the young roots. Keep the soil moist, but not wet. Poppies take some time to germinate. If conditions are favorable, they will germinate after 2 to 3 weeks.
