Alchemilla is not the easiest germinator, but there are tricks to lend a hand. For starters, it is a light germinator, which means you should not cover the seeds with a layer of soil. Spread the seeds shallowly over the soil, pressing lightly and keeping moist but not wet. First put the seed tray in a warm place for a week, then put the tray in the fridge for a week. You then put the seeds a little warmer again and only then will they proceed to germination. You can also sow outdoors in autumn, allowing a period of frost to pass before the seeds finally germinate in spring.
