Vermiculite is the ideal sowing soil for your seeds! Vermiculite absorbs water easily and therefore also retains nutrients well. Its fine structure makes it easy to grow and prick out your seedlings without damaging the roots.
Moisten the vermiculite before use, but not soaking wet. The easiest way is to immerse a sieve with vermiculite in a bowl of water and then let it drain well. Scoop a layer of several centimetres of moist vermiculite into seed tray and press the seeds into the vermiculite and place the lid on the seed tray or cover it.
